Newly enrolled Norton High School Students
Once you have registered your student at the Administration Building
the next step is student scheduling. A parent/guardian must call to
schedule an appointment with a counselor before your student may
begin attending Norton High School. Please call 330.825.6104 after
August 12 to set up the appointment. Please have a prior school's
transcript available when you and your student meet with the counselor.

Norton High School is regularly visited by Colleges and Career Tech schools throughout Ohio during the fall. Our Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to visit with the representative and learn about campus life and what the college has to offer. If Juniors and Seniors want to sign up for a college visit, please stop in the Guidance Office. All visits are held during Panther Time.

What is the role of a Secondary School Counselor?
We are professional educators with a mental health perspective to understand and respond to the challenges presented by today's diverse student population. We provide pro-active leadership to help student's achieve success in school. Some of the ways we do this are through: Individual and group counseling, career planning, academic skills support, organizational, study and test taking skills, post-secondary planning, coping strategies, peer relationships and effective social skills, career awareness, substance abuse education, diversity awareness, family/school crisis intervention, consultation/collaboration, referral and many others.
