January 3rd Information from Mr. Addis

The COVID Notification Letter for today (and covering Winter Break) can be found here:  Monday, January 3, 2022.pdf

The district is implementing brand new CDC guidance through the Ohio Department of Health.  I am attaching new COVID guidance here:  January, 2022 Updated Covid Guidance.pdf  that will allow a faster return to school/work should good health allow it.  Please use these charts to assess your family's situation, and let us know if you have any questions.  There are also some slight changes to Mask to Stay/Test to Play that can be found here:  January, 2022 Mask to Stay_Test to Play.pdf

Here is a 2:51 video that explains these two attachments:

January Student of the Month

Congratulations to Dominic Hritsko for being named Student of the Month for January at Norton High School!  Dominic is a member of the National Honor Society and is taking several AP classes this year, with AP Studio Art being one of them. He participates in Marching Band and Concert Band. Dominic is a Boy Scout and has just finished his Eagle project.  His hobbies include drawing, painting, and all kinds of music.  Dominic plans to attend either The University of Akron or Kent State University and study psychology. He wants to be a counselor. Congratulations Dominic!

Career Tech Student of the Month

Congratulations to Derek Porter for being named the Career Tech Student of the Month at Norton High School. Derek participates in the C.B.I. Program here at Norton High School through the Four Cities Compact. He works 40 hours a week at Rittman Hospital. Derek works this much so that he can help out his mom who is a single mother raising two teenage boys! He used to be a member of the band and still plays the clarinet occasionally. Derek would like to attend either Kent State University or The University of Akron to study business. Congratulations Derek!
