This site has been created to provide useful information to parents, teachers and students. Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions.
 
The curriculum office oversees the Norton City Schools' curriculum, instruction, assessment and accountability. It is also responsible for course of study development, textbook adoptions, curriculum mapping,  summer intervention, summer school, Community Education, AESOP, certified substitutes and Federal Programs.
 
Norton City Schools has developed high standards for learning. We believe that every child can learn with the support of our schools, homes and community. We believe that every staff member will provide a positive and challenging environment that inspires life-long learning and achievement at the highest levels. We also believe that the needs of our growing community can be met through collaboration and on-going communication.
We are proud of the tradition of academic excellence as evidence in our Excellent designation through the Ohio Department of Education. Our intent is to provide all students with an education that will enable them to succeed in our global world.
 
 
Norton City Schools receives federal money to support a portion of our elementary reading intervention program. In accordance with the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 2001 or the No Child Left Behind Act, we are required to notify all parents of their right to request information related to the qualifications of their child's teacher(s). This information is available through the district office and can be requested at any time by interested parents.
