State Gifted Ranking

On Tuesday, October 3rd, the Department of Education released gifted rankings for the state. These rankings measure gifted students' opportunities and performance, using data that is included as part of districts' report cards. Norton City Schools is ranked third in Ohio. This ranking reflects the hard work and dedication of the district's teachers and administrators in ensuring that universal screening is conducted, identifications are appropriately made, and service is provided to those students.

The data used to compile the rankings includes the percentage of all students identified as gifted in the district, the percentage of all gifted identified students that receive services in the district, the Performance Index for students identified as gifted, and the Value-Added measure for gifted students, all of which are included in the district's report card.

Thank you to our amazing staff, Tricia Ebner - Gifted Coordinator, and Amy Olivieri - Director of Curriculum and Instruction for all of their hard work.
