Norton City Schools

Parent Involvement

Norton City Schools values its relationship with its parents and welcomes their involvement in several ways. Our elementary school parent group, Parent Advisory Committee (P. A. C.) provides funding for student activities such as festivals, book fairs, and field trips. Our parent group meets monthly to discuss how to positively impact students and to make connections among families.

Parents and family members also support students by serving as volunteers. Volunteers are seen in many roles such as reading buddies, classroom helpers, or assisting teachers with printing and the preparation of materials.

Parent involvement is valuable in the education of our students. Parents and teachers at all educational levels communicate regularly through emails, classroom apps, webpages and newsletters. Parents are also invited in to learn about the buildings at events such as open house and conference nights.
