WInter Sports Accomplishments

G BK, CHR, WR -- PTC Champs
B/G BOW -- Sectional Champs 
OHSAA updates 

Congratulations to our winter sports teams that have achieved the following accomplishments:
 
GIRLS BASKETBALL
MS -- PTC Champions:  Both the Girls 7th grade team and the Girls 8th grade team defeated Woodridge in the PTC Tournament championship game held at Cloverleaf
HS -- PTC Champions:  The Girls Basketball team finished the regular season undefeated in the PTC.  This is three years in a row, and five times they have achieved this feat since 2013.  
OHSAA
  • Sectional Champs after defeating Field HS 53-15 in game hosted at Norton HS.  
  •  Defeated Norwayne in the District semis 48-34 at Lake HS.  
  •  District Runner-up to Buchtel.
 
B/G BOWLING
OHSAA
  • Sectional Champions -- Both the Boys Bowling team and the Girls Bowling team came in first place at the Division I OHSAA Bowling Sectional Tournament held at Stonehedge Lanes. 
  •  Girls BOW District Runner-up --The Girls Bowling team finished in 2nd place at the Disrict Tournament advancing to the State Tourney on March 8 in Columbus.  Colleen Lehner and Katie Anderson earned All-Tournament Team honors.
 
CHEERLEADING
PTC Champs:  The Cheerleading squad came in 1st place in the PTC Cheer competition held at Ravenna HS.
 
WRESTLING
PTC Champions:  The Wrestling team finished the regular season undefeated in the PTC and finished high enough in the PTC Tournament held at Rootstown to be named PTC Champions for the second year in a row. 
OHSAA
  • Sectional -- 4th place team score.  Wrestlers who advanced to the District Tournament at Alliance HS:  Jakob Hopkins, Michael Kelley, Kaleb Kiss, Jayden Morr, & Reece Swarm.
  • District -- 17th place team score.  Kaleb Kiss finished in 3rd place at 138 # to qualify to the State Tournament in Columbus.
