Norton High School Drama Takes Final Bow on Current Stage

For generations, Norton drama students have dreamed of staging productions in a theatre made especially for the arts. Those dreams will soon come true when Norton High School students and staff take up residence in new facilities this winter.

As the last play in their current facility, the Norton High School Drama Department brings the comedy Game of Tiaras to the stage on November 3,4, and 5 at 7:00pm. Norton teacher Tricia Pletcher directs the hilarious spoof by Don Zolidis. When the aging king of a Magical Kingdom decides to split his empire between his three daughters, Cinderella, Belle, and the Snow Queen, terrible tragedy ensues--terrible, hilarious tragedy. Combining the gut-wrenching plot twists of Game of Thrones and the soul-numbing despair of Shakespearean tragedy, this adaptation of King Lear will leave you dying with laughter.

A complimentary performance with free breakfast, sponsored by the Norton Women’s Club, is offered on Friday, November 4, at 9:00 am. Please call the Norton High School office at 330-825-7300 for reservations for the complimentary breakfast show. Tickets for evening performances are available at the door, $6 for adults, $4 for students and seniors. For more information, call Tricia Pletcher 330-825-7300.
