Driving & Parking Permits


  •     Parking permit applications are available in the main office.
  •     A parking permit for the 2022/23 school year are $15.00.  
  •     Payment and a valid Ohio driver's license must accompany the 
  •     application.
  •     Lost or stolen parking permits must be reported immediately.  
  •     Replacement cost for parking permits is $15.00.

 Norton High School Parking Regulations
 
  • All students must display a valid parking permit on the rearview mirror of their vehicle.  Violators may incur a $50.00 fine and/or have vehicle towed at the owner's expense.
  • Student vehicles may only be parked within marked parking spaces designated for student use.  NO PARKING AREAS INCLUDE: (a) Fire lanes, (b) Handicapped spaces, (c) Visitor spaces, (d) East parking lot (faculty only), (e) Road surrounding building.
  • The school accepts no responsibility or liability for damage or loss occurring to a motor vehicle operated on the school grounds.  Please lock your car during the school day.
  • No loitering is or around vehicles before, during, or after the school day.  Students must exit their vehicles immediately upon arriving to school.  Cars may not be visited during the school day unless permission has been granted by the Assistant Principal or Principal.
  • Safe operation of vehicles, including a speed limit of ten (10) miles per hour, will be observed on all areas of school property.  Suspension or revoking of permit/parking privileges along with a $50.00 fine will be assessed to violators for the following:
            (a) Violation of Student Code of Conduct that involves a motor vehicle*
            (b) Speeding or reckless operation of a motor vehicle on school property*
            (c) Falsifying permit application--automatically revoked for the school year
            (d) Students using or sharing another student's permit--both students will automatically lose parking
                 privileges for the school year
            (e) Student in vehicle or parking lot during school hours*
                 *ADDITIONAL DISCIPLINARY ACTION MAY BE TAKEN
  •  Tags are not transferable; they may only be used by the registered students on registered vehicles.  Students must register all changes or face disciplinary measures.
*Students found in violation of these regulations may receive one or more of the following:
1) $50.00 fine, 2) In-school suspension, 3) Suspension of permit, 4) Permanent removal of permit, 5) Suspension from school
Violators will be towed at the owner's expense.
